Some of our favorites:
Food:
Wicked Oyster
Attracting visitors and locals, the Wicked Oyster provides excellent fare, from rave-worthy hamburgers to mouth-watering local seafood dishes. One of the few restaurants open year-round - it's one of our favorites.
Sweet Escapes
Fabulous home-made ice-cream and more in Truro - wonderful for a stop off on Route 6 when returning from P-town or 9 holes on Highland golf course.
Mac's on the beach
It doesn't get much better than excellent local take-away down on the town beach/harbor. Mac's provides some tables but its also great to wander the shoreline or find a bench and watch the boats come and go.
Bookstore & Restaurant
A laid back eatery serving good hearty food down opposite Mayo beach in Wellfleet. Open year-round - with a great mix of locals and visitors - it also boasts a wonderful second-hand bookstore, full of local memorabilia and other treats. Browse and then eat - its a great way to spend any afternoon, particularly if the weather isn't accommodating.
Fanizzi's in P-town
Excellent restaurant in Provincetown - located in the southern end of town (direction Truro). Great menu, great location on P-town harbor - ask for a table by the window. Go for brunch and then stroll the P-town art galleries - highly recommended.
For all the family:
The ponds
The fresh water kettle ponds (see "All about Wellfleet page") are a delight to swim in and to kayak or canoe around. Gull pond is one of the more popular, and hosts a pedalo/canoe rental outfit.
Baseball
The Orleans Cardinals have games all summer long and also a baseball camp for the kids.
Mass Audubon on Wellfleet Bay
Excellent set of activities for all the family, including summer camp.
Castle Hill
Something for everyone - bring the artist out in you. Castle Hill runs workshops throughout the summer in painting, photography, sculpture, etc. Castle Hill has a national reputation, attracting first class artists, performers and writers, among others. Book early!

The Provincetown Art Association and Museum is worth a visit and also offers workshops.
